PJLC1V5 -- Protection TVS ESD Arrays

PanJit has created an ESD protection device with the world?s lowest voltage rating level. Designed for 1.5 volt logic, the PJLC1V5 series protects valuable circuitry. The PJLC1V5 series, in single and dual configurations, also features ultra low typical capacitance, therefore minimizing insertion loss and enabling faster data transmission. This new technology from PanJit is also expandable for use at other logic voltage levels.

ESD can harm sensitive logic circuitry or cause latch-up events. ESD destroys the gate of CMOS logic by exceeding the CMOS gate voltage rating. A protection device is often used to limit the ESD voltage applied to the CMOS gate. ESD protection has lagged as semiconductor technology progresses to sub-micron levels. Until now, ESD protection has been limited to the protection of logic 3.3V and higher.

The PJLC1V5 and PJLC1V5D, first in the industry, come in the standard SOT23 package. They feature the lowest breakdown voltage available today. They are suitable for applications operating as low as 1.2V and 1.5V dc. Additionally, these parts have a max Cp at 0Vdc (1MHz) of 10pF; typically 6pF! They also have very low leakage current (Max. of 1µA) and peak power dissipation of 50W (8x20µsec waveform). They fully comply with the IEC61000-4-2 standard as well. Applications include mobile phones, digital cameras, PDA's, and portable equipment running on batteries that needs reliable ESD protection.
